CEDRIC DELAVAUD

Welcome to LUDOLAND!

My name is Cedric Delavaud and I’m the owner and creator of Ludoland. 

I created Ludoland in 2019. I have a passion for woodworking, and I love designing and creating. I think I got this from my parents. I have been raised in France, my dad was a furniture maker, and my mom was just so creative and artistic. My father was often working in his shop, making all sorts of wooden objects for the house, and my mom was doing art pieces, using different mediums. 

With this adventure, this is a tribute I’m paying to my parents.

I was a very lucky child. My dad always let me hang with him in the shop when he was working. He would show me techniques, teach me, let me use his tools but also bought me my very first set of tools. I still have these memories engraved in my head. 

But you probably know how life goes. You get to go to high school, university, then you find a job and often, we lose track of what we use to love as a children. 

I became an educator, then a teacher. 

But everything changed when my son entered my life. The minute he was born and laying in my arms, at lot of memories came back. And I took that strong decision. I would reconnect with the young Cedric and try to make it a living. I wanted to be for my son the dad my own father was to me, and transmit him that knowledge.

This is how I got back into woodworking. I bought professional grade tools and got back to  practicing techniques. I have a passion for hand tools, and use them as often as I can. Today, I’m grateful for life to offer me an opportunity to live of my passion.
